Moorland Motors is a privately owned family business.
The Moorland Motors mission statement is ‘As a family owned GM Retailer our aim is to develop customer loyalty by providing a competitive and professional service through a highly trained and customer focussed team.’
The Swire family have been in the motor trade in Blackpool since 1947 and are the longest established main dealer in the Fylde Coast area. The Chairman William Swire still visits the Dealership on a regular basis to keep up to date with current activities.
On a day to day basis it is run by his son Peter Swire (Managing Director) and more recently has been joined in the Sales Department by grandson Tom Swire. The Aftersales side of the business comes under the close guidance of Tony Boyd (Aftersales Director), who has been with the Company 15 years.
Moorland Motors have continually reinvested in their operations the latest of which is their relocation to Lytham St Annes Way on the Whitehills Business Park. This provides a purpose built state of the art General Motors multibrand site offering sales and service for Vauxhall, Chevrolet and Saab.
With total sales now approaching 2000 vehicles per annum Moorland Motors have the buying power to be highly competitive whilst providing the very best in customer service. Moorland Motors staff are highly trained through the GM Academy as well as their own in house ‘Hearts and Minds’ training to ensure they understand Moorland Motors' customer requirements.
Facilities are amongst the very best in the country with ample parking, superb showroom and reception facilities and a huge workshop offering service, Masterfit, MOT, parts and a purpose built Accident Repair Centre.
